Need to switch to aluminum, 1/5 the incentive to steal.

Good idea, however I suspect there would be an issue of metal fatigue/work hardening of the aluminum wires with repeated flexing. Still might be more economical than the copper used today, even if frequent replacement is needed.

Another idea is to have the existing cables retract into the charge station. Yes that would cost many millions in development and upgrade, but if EVs are the future....
(Not an EV fan...)

Why can’t they use some kind of WIRELESS CHARGER like we have for cell phones ?
