Embrace the major suck California

At $5 a pound, expect charging cables to begin disappearing everywhere.

What do they expect?
They voted for this.
Apparently if the scrap value is under $900, then it’s not even a crime.

I wonder what the copper value of Wheat Backed pennies are now? I am sure it is more than a penny.

One pound of cable will almost buy one gallon of gas.
I’m gonna need about 12 lbs.
12-24 feet, depending, according to web look-up

Tell the prosecutors and judges that women need to charge their Teslas to get to the clinics to murder their children.

The dems do not plan to do anything about it. After all, the “oppressed” have the right to take what is “rightfully” theirs from their “oppressors.”

copper theft in california at least 3 decades old. Hitting vacant houses and new construction for copper pipes for water and heat pumps and AC. SB used to send deputies to the flea markets where they boldly set up booths and sold the wire they stoled. now they are more subtle.
Copper anywhere is a target.

There’s an easy fix for this. Keep the 480 AMPs of electricity flowing into the cables.

Yup. We had a 4 inch copper pipe and a heavy copper cap on our building. I think it was something to do with back flow pressure for water. Thieves would cut that off several times a year going back to 1990s.

High copper prices
+
Weak CA law enforcement
+
A wire cable cutter
That’s a winning combination.
And ladies, you can play too!
