I just heard Jonathan Turley make a point I’d been thinking about. If the defense finishes up with Cohen today, the jury has a l-o-n-g weekend for this damaging testimony to mellow out. And then, Monday, wham, the prosecution moves in to undermine it on cross with freshly sharpened knives. He had assumed the Defense would string it out enough to finish on Monday.
Defense must call Costello. MUST.
