How many Western coordinated and sourced troops would it take to defeat Russia in Ukraine et al., if Putin responded by fully mobilizing? Serious question. I’m guessing we’d take out their oil fields and ability to transport or sell any, and their refineries, train lines, bridges, power plants, ruin their food crops, destroy their factories, and impose a complete naval blockade and no fly zone over them.
They could threaten to nuke us, yes. So?

Getting towards put up or shut up time.
We are ALL in harms way here over this war and our chosen allegiances. For whatever reasons, NATO has decided to take a stand here. They won’t let Ukraine lose without dragging us all down. With them.

Russia has spent two years killing Ukrainians on the front lines. They have only now started to creep into the former NATO fortified cities which have been defeated, one and all. Now Ukraine continues to surge forces to the front, into the kill zones, to counter attack. Russia sits back and blows them up systematically. Now that the west has opted for a battlefield solution to the problem of Ukraine, Russia accroding Lavrov’s testimoney to the Duma yesterday is going to happen. May will see Ukraine pushed off their former front lines. By the end of Summer there won’t be much in the way of Uke’s to defend every inch.

In the northern sector that is now 6 days old, the Ukrainian general staff has stated that they are not going to send any further reinforcements to the front. Russia is simply fighting with infantry and a few armored/mechanized thrusts probing. The fact that the Kharkov sector defenders are being told no one is coming to help on this Wednesday 15 May 2024, the truth is there is not much left.

Russia will not recognize Zelinski after 21 May, thus that battlefield solution is now in motion.

Cheer about the missiles - but Russia has warned NATO to stay out.

We are 5 seconds from midnight, and Biden’s special leadership is sleepwalking into their graves.

Russia utilizes a very very low yield tactacial nuclear weapon. Unlike NATO who uses high yield weapons. Russia will fire the first round and reserve the Strategic High Yield for any US counter strike. I belive that the US will back down after they see the smoking crater where Europe is not all wiped out by radiation, but nevertheless, tactically nuked. The US is going to back down. The mess the White House made pushing Russia and China into an alliance to defend themselves from constant US warnings over Taiwan and Ukraine are the worst diplomacy since WWI.

Those 8.5 - 1 dead Uke’s per Russian is really burning them up. You’re a casuality of the DNC MSM propoganda.

Gee, we told the Zeepers so.

No amount of money, weapons or F16s can solve Ukraine's manpower shortage.

Do the Zeeper dim wits here finally understand that?

It's clear Biden and those that passed the bill wanted to launder more money.

No amount of weapons, ammo or F16s will make ANY difference. Ukraine is out of reserves and Russia has 510,000 soldiers in reserve.

An unconditional surrender or more lost lives and territory are Ukraine's ONLY options.

When will the moronic Zeepers here grasp that?

Now's the time to send troops to Kyiv.

And, concede everything east of the Dnieper river?

Surrendering and saving more territory might be a better idea.

Putin, you idiot, would have stopped if the Minsk Accords had been implemented. He would have stopped if Boris Johnson hadn't killed the peace deal that was about to be signed between Ukraine and Russia in Turkey in March of 2022.

WE AND NATO HAVE BEEN THE AGGRESSORS IN UKRAINE SINCE 2014 when we fomented an illegal coup there and installed a puppet government hostile to Moscow and the ethnic Russian population in Ukraine.

Repeating the lie about Putin being the aggressors or not stopping in Ukraine is utter BS, lies coming from the Biden regime and Deep State.

How many Western coordinated and sourced troops would it take to defeat Russia in Ukraine et al., if Putin responded by fully mobilizing? Serious question.

If Russia activates its ready reserves, they have 2M trained troops. Dunno how many troops would be sent by other nations. If U.S. does not go in, nobody else goes in. If U.S. does go in, I am not that optimistic about the level of Euro participation. If they go in, their country gets bombed. We have a very large buffer zone.

Also to be considered is if China comes in, or just overwhelms Taiwan.

I should think over a million men are needed for ground warfare. We would need a massive draft, or enormous Euro participation.

Also to be considered is the logistics. Supply ships would be targeted by submarines and missiles. Anything we supply has to travel thousands of miles to get there.

I’m guessing we’d take out their oil fields and ability to transport or sell any, and their refineries, train lines, bridges, power plants, ruin their food crops, destroy their factories, and impose a complete naval blockade and no fly zone over them.

I view a naval blockade or no fly zone as non-starters. The navy would just be sunk by missiles. They can't even stop the Houthis by the Suez canal.

Air ops need a place to land. Any country which volunteers automatically becomes a party to the war. I doubt any leader has political leader has popular support for that. Aircraft carriers are now targets for missiles or drone swarms. Airial drones won't sink a carrier, but a few hit the flight deck and takeoffs and landings cease for while. Ukraine has proved that the Russian air defense systems are no joke. There will be no flying the friendly skies.

They could threaten to nuke us, yes.

They have already stated that if a NATO nation comes in, they will consider it an existential threat. That politely says they could legally initiate use of nukes in accordance with the Law of Armed Conflict. I expect they would start with tactical nukes.

I think it is too late to save the Ukrainian military. The Russians are on a roll and I doubt the Ukrainians can stop them. The Russians are bringing overwhelming force against outmanned, outgunned, exhausted troops.

I do not see national support anywhere to FAFO. There is so much firepower that nobody really wins if it goes nuclear. The game of Chicken with Zelensky announcing that Ukraine had been approved for entry into NATO went so well, someone thinks it is a good idea to up the stakes to nuclear war and try it again.

If we did all that to Russia... Then we would have to go rebuild it. Let’s just stay home.

Putin won’t stop with the Ukraine.

Nato had better fight (send troops to Ukraine) or start learning kiss ass Russian...fast.

Where else is he gonna go? Belarus? Moldova?
Belarus has been one of his buddies, so why would we care if Putin invades them?
Moldova's his only other option, although they have defense treaties with Romania, France, and probably at least something with a couple others.

Russia can barely beat Ukraine, how the hell are they going to do anything to any bigger country? Much less NATO? Much less these US? Even if he actually tried to hit Poland, and if NATO just ignored it (not gonna happen, but if), Russia couldn't handle that. They struggle with Ukraine's older, half-trainer military, and running logistics just across their border. How do they get beans n bullets a country or two further, against a mere professional army? That actually knows how to use their much better equipment?

The only real option Putin has for actual expansion beyond Ukraine is south into the old USSR territories. We may not like it, but we probably wouldn't care much. But Russia is not a real threat to NATO. Not at all.

“It’s clear Biden and those that passed the bill wanted to launder more money.”

Your Putinous slander defames every honest Congress rep who has no financial interest in any war. But that’s what we expect from Putin, and you.

In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled Ukraine warns it has no more reserves as Putin masses half a MILLION fighters on frontline in pivotal moment for West, Uncle Lonny wrote:

Too bad US policy forbade Ukraine from using American HIMARS from attacking Russia proper as Russia massed its troops just across the border. Not that it would have stopped this latest invasion but it wouudda have greatly increased the causalities with Putins cannon fodder conscripts.

But then, the Ukrainian deaths in this offensive are small potatoes compared to the Killing Fields that are coming to Ukraine once “Peace is given a chance” and Putin’s Blood Debts are paid in full.

You think having the US supply the means for the Ukraine to bom Russia proper wouldn't put America in a direct war footing with Russia? Becase Russia would.
