When “financing” is discussed, writing a check is akin to paying in cash.
I sometimes hire people for cash. Sometimes that cash is in the form of a check, and other times it’s explicitly “green bills”. This is in contrast to a credit card for example.
For example, if I went to buy a car, the high level options are financing it, or paying in “cash”. Writing a check would be considered paying in cash when compared to getting a loan.
