And the final sign of infestation, Roundabouts.
Yes! They went Roundabout crazy in Wisconsin. One rural location had three in a row! Guy, guys, do you really think large combines and other farm equipment do well on those things?
I was actually working at Wisconsin DOT, so I asked about this aloud (though I was in IT, nowhere near the engineers or policy decision makers). The first response was "They do it in Europe!" ARGGGGGGGGH!

In any event, those brick pads around the centers of the rounabouts and along some of the corners are truck aprons, where trucks can pass if they need to. It’s an implicit acknowledgement that these things aren’t so good for large vehicles.
