Speaker Johnson was there today in an attempt at redemption. He’s unredeemable. He’s a traitor.

It’s good that the Speaker was there.Let the crooked judge and crooked prosecutors know that people are watching.

We’ve all heard of Kangaroo Courts.
How often do you get to see one in person?
They should have shown up in appropriate costumes.

That’s not laundering. It was on his books and not made out to a bank in the Caribbean. It would have had to be declared as prt of his “income” on his tax forms.

That’s the reason. Make this foreign piece of crap judge squirm when a bunch of DC heavyweights eyeball him.

Payment personal homage? Not necessarily. The trial has become so utterly biased that even leftists are admitting it and the less conservative Republicans must be thinking, “I could be next.”

paying homage my foot ... they’re signaling to the rest of the elected Republican contingent that it’s time to get off their arses and start vocally supporting their party leader instead of leaving him out to dry all by himself (as the cowardly shitheads have repeatedly done in the past) ...

that is: Either hang together, or hang separately ...

Paying homage? How about showing the world what a sham, political show trial this is?

Yeah, yeah - when it’s a Lefty they use the word “solidarity”, otherwise, it’s “homage”.

‘It’s about paying homage’
= = =

OK

I think I’ll toss $20’s out my pickup window, down at the trailer park to show my solidarity.

Oops, do not confuse me with Billy C

There are so many things ludicrously wrong about this trial that even many leftists can acknowledge it. But all that matters is what the 12 jurors decide...and they may all be determined to "stick it" to Trump for beating Hillary in 2016. Some analysts point out that a single juror could prevent a guilty verdict, but how long will a less-passionate Trump-hating Democrat hold out against the pressure from the other jurors?

It is truly bizarre that the chief witness, Michael Cohen, wants Trump to go to prison for following the advice he gave him when he was his lawyer. Will the jury even be allowed to know that Cohen has been convicted of perjury in the past?

Trump’s attorneys have probably suggested Flynn (or, Bannon) not show up.

Sad state of the situation.

Those two are doing much work, for MAGA/Pres Trump, offsite.

Can’t the defense bring this up?

Probably if this was a normal trial...but in a normal trial Cohen wouldn’t be a prosecution witness. The judge seems determined to do everything in his power to see to it that Trump is convicted. Can he direct the jury to find Trump guilty?

I saw that Mike Johnson showed up to pretend support before scuttling off to continue betraying conservatives. This guy will be an even bigger obstacle to Trump getting laws passed than Paul Ryan was.

This hush Trump trial is the most outrageous and damaging attack on our republic in the last 150 years.

Exactly what I’d wondered about, on another thread, earlier.

He seems to get away with leading the witness (telling prosecution to tell their witness not to talk so much), so, no telling.
