As we saw in 2017 when Trump was looking at making his pick for Secretary of State, we saw a number of media venues promoting “unnamed” sources that Trump was considering Mitt Romney. The media began making so much of it that Trump did give Romney a meeting, but that was the end of it.

Sometimes these things are folks in the media pushing their choice, or seeming to push “their choice”, but with the media you never know their true purpose, because somethimes the media push is to get the “wrong choice” picked - from the point of view of the media seeming to push that choice.

I think the Haley people were just trying to get her name out there. If Trump picked Haley, he would be guaranteed to be impeached and removed from office.

I'm sure this is pure BS. However if he picks Nikki Haley he might actually lose me. I love Trump, huge supporter however his judgement on personnel borders on incompetent. Appointing Chris Christie to manage the selection of staff was obviously a disaster, probably intentionally so. Appointing Jeff Sessions as AG: forgivable, who saw that coming? Appointing Omorosa to a position in the white house? Bad but recoverable. Appointing Bush-bot Bill Barr as AG was a totally foreseeable mistake that had consequences for Trump. I could go on and on. So many bad appointments that were obviously bad appointments and we all knew it at the time.

But selecting a woman who is the utlimate neocon hack, bought and paid for, who also called Trump and his supporters criminals? No way, I'd think Trump had lost his mind.

I really wish Trump selects Tulsi Gabbard for a unity ticket. I don’t like her politics, however I like the fact she is a veteran and as a young VP selection, her energy and potential to do something from the VP role is acceptable. Pence was a conservative and he did squat, meaning the VP role is actually a gift back to the establishment.

I still want Jennifer Ruth Green from Indiana to be Trump’s VP.
