Certain parts are, just like certain parts of North Jersey (e.g. Hunterdon, Warren & Sussex Counties). But in 2020 the only southern NJ counties that Trump won were Cape May, Salem and Ocean. Sleepy Joe won Cumberland, Atlantic, Gloucester, Camden and Burlington.
I lived in Salem county for a couple of years in the early 90’s. Woodstown. Population at the time was about 3,000. Nice and normal people by my southern standards. Never got crossways with anyone in that town.
Also add parts of Morris County in North Western NJ. My hometown of Washington Township/Long Valley went 54 to 46 for Trump in 2020. We moved from there 30 years ago. It used to be more Republican but is still hanging in there. I think Trump has a chance in NJ again now that it is known to everyone that Biden was lying about a return to normalcy.
