I think (but am not certain) the cops say the apartment was the correct apartment.
It will certainly be seen at trial just what the cop was told...it will be on his bodycam. That is,unless his bodycam somehow “malfunctioned” at the pivotal moment. Bodycams do seem to malfunction a lot when they’re recording things that make the cops look bad.
