Chutkin has a completely different case. She is presiding over the January 6 case that Trump tried to “overthrow” the government. She doesn’t have a say in cannons case.

Of course they are different cases and Cannon does not have a say in that case.

Cannon can rule that Jack Smith's appointment as special prosecutor was illegal and invalid (which it was) and and have his entire team dissolved and his prosecutions mooted.

As Ed Meese correctly argued , Jack Smith has no more authority to prosecute Trump or anyone else than Taylor Swift does, so that ruling would put an end to both Smith's Florida and DC prosecutions.
