One of the Jewish protesters demanded not just the ability to go into the library, but the ability to go into the library through a particular door. Only the naive would view that as anything but a purposeful provocation.

And why does he not have the right to use whatever door he chooses?

Why not condemn those blocking him from using it?

The purposeful provocation is being done by the hamas supporters and as usual with the left, when someone pushed back against the bullies, THEY are the ones getting in trouble and the bullies are always protected and never held abbountable.

What he "should" be able to do in an ideal world, and what he "should" do from a more pragmatic perspective are two different things.

He was obviously not interested in going into the library. He wanted to intimidate the protesters and hopefully get them to swing at him.

It's a university and police matter. If the university allows it, and it is their property, then that's that. If people are in real danger, then the police should respond, which is what happened.

If the police don't do their job, either because they refuse or the don't have sufficient manpower, then the city mayor and council need to be petitioned to remove the police commissioner or give more funds to the police.

We saw what happened on Jan 6 and what happened at the numerous BLM and Antifa riots when conservatives protested or showed up to counter-protest: it was the conservatives who were arrested.
