There are people here at FR who brag about the number of dogs that they’ve killed. Dogs plural, because everyone knows you have to turn in your badass card if you haven’t shot at least a couple or three dogs in your time, better if you’ve lost count. A merciful end is for sissies.

I’m going to wager that I’ve had to euthanize kill more animals than all of the people on this forum. I hated the job but at the time it was necessary and yes, it took a toll. There was a study on the people that work at slaughterhouses and the affect on the captive bolt operators experienced. After my Father retired from the military he became a full time butcher, and we used a .22 effectively.
