55% of Columbia are Visa students.

In the 1970s when the Shaw of Iran was deposed, The vast majority of Iranian students here supported his removal.

They rioted at campuses all over the country and in DC general. The were very violent and many cops were injured.

This when on for months cultivating when they attempted to storm the Shaw's LA Brentwood home and had to be repelled by the Los Angeles Fire Department using fire hoses.

The people had finely had enough and demanded to fed/gov do something about it.

The INS rounded up all the visa holding trouble makers and deported them. Problem solved.

The silver lining was that many of the student posters were killed upon their return to Iran, as they (with their western education) were not sufficiently revolutionary.
