There are two lessons to take from this story, a small one and a big one.

The small one is be careful what you put on paper.

The large one is only Republicans pay a price for their inappropriate comments. Democrats can lie all day, and make up all sorts of wild stories. No problem. But Republicans get clobbered for any misstep.

Democrats, like Bill Clinton, can admittedly pay $800,000 in hush money to Paula Jones and still be considered an icon in the press and his party.

PDJT can be accused of paying hush money to a porn star, WHICH HE ADAMANTLY DENIES, and is put on trial in a kangaroo court, media tsk-tsking about it every day.

It’s all part of that sad reality.
