Well if we weren’t forever enmeshed in Israel’s problems as if it were the 51st state than you’d be right I’d have no cause to bother with what they do. But that’s not the case. What Israel is currently doing is having an adverse affect on America’s standing with almost all of the non Western world and this goes against US interests. We’ve now lost our moral authority with all of Africa allowing Russia and China an opening to take over our interests in that region. And that doesn’t even begin to assess the incredible financial costs incurred. Now we have the Israel lobby directly attacking the 1st amendment with their push for HR 6090. I’m sure you’ll overlook that too.
If you choose to worship Israel then that’s your business but don’t expect the rest of us to. You are trying to impose your theological beliefs on the rest of us. Christian Zionism is a minor sect of Christianity and MOST Christians do NOT have the same emotional or religious attachment to Israel you do.

I’m not worshipping Israel, but I’m not going to condemn them when they’re not wrong. I will never attack them for defending their people and trying to defeat an aggressor, an aggressor who’s shown time and time again that they’re uninterested and incapable of co-existing with them.

Not at all. But I’m not going condemn a country for defending its citizens because some Jewish-American leftists are lobbying for a bill that goes over the line. Are you as concerned about Islamic-American activists who want to transform our country and take away your freedoms?
Spare us the “moral equivalency” doctrine of Jimmy Carter and the need for international affirmation like Obama.
We didn’t lose Africa because of Israel and giving Israel over to the so called Palestinians will not win the US a single ally. We lose allies because we abandon them when the going gets tough and because we impose a twisted moral and green agenda on them.
Israel is an indispensable ally deep in hostile territory. Christian Zionism or not doesn’t change the equation.
