A teacher should have his students’ best educational interests in mind as a teacher. A priest or pastor is supposed to have the well-being of his parishioners’ souls and a step-parent the safety and protection of his or her new family as their prime priority.
Engaging in sexual activity with anyone who is a student, parishioner or step child by a teacher, priest or step-parent is a betrayal of the very role of teacher, priest, and step-parent.
But to the point of the thread, having sex with a preteen, well, that’s not a betrayal of the role of teacher, but of the role of a decent human being.
