Agreed. This takes away FL citizens’ freedom.
Why does FL the state get to decide what people eat? That’s nanny state stuff.
And what happens when companies start incorporating this faux meat into processed foods, additives and whatever else? Who will know when this is put into something other than a hamburger, steak, or whatever they’re processing the growths into?
No, let’s err on the side of caution and safety for right now. If Floridian’s want it, they can petition their government to repeal that law.
desantis will sign all sorts of papers, but won’t do his job to secure FL borders from illegals invading, still. loser as governor for not protecting his people from invasion, higher crime, expenses of damage, murders, rapes, etc etc etc.
If fake meat is what people want, they can order from Amazon or other companies, and have it shipped to their door. Or, thry can outchase it from out of state and bring it home. The governor didn’t sign a bill to prevent one from eating it, buy that it can’t replace real meat in the store.
Why is protecting farmers/ranchers a problem? You know darn well the fake stuff will be pushed as the real thing.
Fake meat is scary. Immortalized cell lines, used to “grow” this “meat” are precancerous at worst, cancerous at best. No one has deliberately eaten such things before.
Of course immortal cell lines like HEK 293 were used to develop and/or test covid vaxes, so lots of people were already injected with them but that is another issue.
