Hardcore Republican in NY City means LOCKING UP bad guys, and both mayors did that. As to Bloomberg, look up murder rates in NY City, compare them to pre-Rudy, and look at them under Bloomberg and get back to us.
Wow. You need to start eating fish or eggs or something. Bloomberg is just getting credit for what Giuliani did, and society at large. What Giuliani did was necessary, but look crime rates were going down from the early 90s anyway. Even in places without a Giuliani. You are giving Bloomberg credit for something he did not earn.
