I thank you-I’m old. There’s more.

Does anyone out there think we need to appeal more to the intellect on a constant basis? Think younger voters-the people who need to feel their thought process is being challenged. Rubio could do it but Rand would be better.

Remember history professor Newt giving a speech? People who never went to college were made to think they could have been comfortable as a student in the lecture hall. We don’t do that-too busy defending ourselves.

No doubt. Our schools need to return to the task of actually educating students and preparing them to be thoughtful members of society. Civics needs to be taught in school like it once was and students need to be taught about what’s right with our culture, not just what’s wrong with it. The country flourished when it didn’t hate its history or feel the need to denigrate worthwhile institutions and beliefs just because they had roots in European civilization.
