They can’t move in on the camp if their flank is unprotected. They are probably constantly reassessing. Maybe waiting for reinforcements You could be right that they are waiting (hoping) some of the supporters outside the camp will tire and go home.

Another tactic may be to disperse the outside crowd first. Leave the camp for now: but get everyone else out. Then secure the campus and move in on the encampment.

A good suggestion...

I saw a bunch of Hamas supporters eating...Some kind of buffet...As if they were on some picnic...

Cops cannot stand there forever...Take some action or withdraw them...
