Former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in most polls in key swing states, but in many of those states’ pivotal Senate races, GOP candidates are lagging behind.
An Emerson College-the Hill poll released on Tuesday shows Trump leading Biden in seven swing states, while in five of those states’ Senate races, the leading Republican candidate is behind the Democrat.
In Pennsylvania, the former president holds a 47%-45% lead over Biden, but Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) holds a 46%-42% lead over GOP challenger David McCormick. The Senate race has narrowed in the Keystone State in recent months, according to the pollster, with a February survey showing Casey holding a 10% lead.
In Wisconsin and Nevada, both incumbent Democratic senators who are attempting to fend off Republican challengers are leading, while Trump maintains a lead over Biden. In the Badger State, Trump leads Biden 47%-45%, while Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) leads Republican Eric Hovde 46%-43%. In the Silver State, Trump has a 45%-44% lead over Biden, while Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) has a 45%-37% lead over Republican Sam Brown.
In open seats currently held by senators who caucus with Democrats, Republicans are also trailing the Democratic candidates, according to the survey.
In Arizona, Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) leads Republican Kari Lake 45%-43% in the Senate race, while in the presidential race, Trump leads Biden 48%-44%. In Michigan, Trump leads Biden in the presidential race 45%-44%, while in the Senate race Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) leads former Republican Rep. Mike Rogers 42%-40%.
In the five of the states where Trump is leading, he lost to Biden in 2020, and in all those states, except Wisconsin, Republicans have lost the most recent Senate races in either 2020 or 2022.
but Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) holds a 46%-42% lead over GOP challenger David McCormick. >>> This is about the same percetage that Trump will lose PA by. The commie, republican, baby killers will not vote for Trump or McCormick.
RNC...same as always.
Methodology The sample for each state included n=1,000 registered voters. Data was weighted by statewide general population parameters, including gender, age, race/ethnicity, education and voter registration and turnout data. The credibility interval, similar to a poll’s margin of error, for the sample is +/- 3% in 19 of 20 cases in each state.
Not good.
Ernst is one of the worst of the GOP traitors. I wish I could get my 2020 donation to her returned.
Again, you don’t have to cheat.. so tired of this nonsense.
Lived in PA for 40 years and I can tell you, McCormicks only chance to win is if Trump wins the state huge and his coattails carry him over the line.
McCormick is just another McRomBush/Wall Street/ country club Republican.. a card carrying. WEF member. This is the only type of Republican of GOP of PA will allow to run. He’s not as bad as that utter fraud and carpetbagger OZ was, but he’s still just another RINO trying to sell himself as something else.
Casey is boring, a lousy campaigner but MCCormick will lose to him handily and it won’t be because of fraud. Only shot he has is Trump winning thr state big and dragging MCCormick over the finish line with him.
Where are the whiners that crapped on Trump for picking Dr. Oz over that neoCON loser McCormick?
Montana and Ohio aren’t on that list, and that’s good enough for me 👍🏻
I admire your faith. I’m going to predict that if a favored RINO is in a blue state, they may be OK, but if one isn’t part of the deep state / uniparty, then the election will be stolen.
Red states to me are now a toss up due to voter fraud.
It’s all rigged, pointless exercise to vote. I’m doing it anyway, but my expectations are low as a whale turd at the bottom of the ocean.
I am telling you when it comes to MCCormick, just like OZ they didn’t need to steal anything.
The only way McCOrmick can win is if Trump wins the state by such a huge margin he drags MCCormick with him. The GOP of PA will only allow the “right kind” of Republican run, and that kind is the McRomBush/Globalist/Wall Street/Country Club/Uniparty Republican.
If it was an empty seat, maybe, maybe, someone like McCOrmick could pull a W, but against Casey? Nope only way is if Trumps coattails drag him over.
The GOP of PA is stuck in the 2000s era, and have zero intent on changing they would rather a democrat win than the wrong kind of Republican.
Dems won’t need to steal to take out MCCormick, without Trump coattails he likely wont wind up within 5 by the end of the day.
