If people vote for Trump and then just sit back and expect miracles, that won’t work.
You have to understand the obstacles.
The focus is drain the swamp. Taxes don’t matter. Spending doesn’t matter. The Wall and the Swamp matter.
But the obstacles to both are enormous. He will have to be very clever.
No political careerists in positions. Float their names during the period from Election Day to Inauguration. Talk about all these well known Washington Swamp filth people who may occupy cabinet positions, but do nothing until sworn in.
At that point, strictly Independents and business people Washington has never heard of. They will never get confirmed by the Senate, so they will have to be interim appointments — and their jobs are to drain the Swamp.
Senior bureaucrats will be removed from their positions and given desks far from the agency leadership positions. You cannot fire them. Civil Service protections, but they can be removed from their jobs and nearly all will not last 4 years doing nothing. They will retire.
Then explicitly fill agency positions with MAGA. Elevate and promote MAGA. This has to be done in every Cabinet agency.
End daily press briefings. That will end the jobs of most of those reporters, and support staff.
His people, none of whom come from Washington and thus none of whom are known to reporters, won’t be getting calls for quotes every day. No one will know them. They can erase all the EO driven regulations and not reverse them, end them. Conservatism is not taking government action, it is government doing no actions, because government action intrudes into life.
As long as he can retain 40 votes in the Senate, no impeachment can ever succeed.
Totally agree. A trump victory only supplies the good guys with some protections from government harassment as we agitate for necessary changes.
Well, yeah - but Trump has to our starting point
People who trust politicians to do their dirty work....will just get more dirt, requiring more work.
Just a start.
Oh, in that case forget it. Count me out. < /sarcasm >
Totally agree.
Voting for Trump isn’t enough.
