Found an article that described this flyover of this baseball game:

It was at the Jonathan Pate Field in Gordo, AL.

At first, I thought the plane was a WW2 warbird, perhaps a Hellcat, but nothing seemed to match.

It was a sport plane, a 1947 Navion, named “Maisie”.

I was thrilled the crowd got to hear something close to the “sound of freedom”——the roar of a fast, 1940s piston engine on a plane.

Nothing like it.
