Firearms felon Terry Clark Hughes has been revealed as the suspect who opened fire at cops at a North Carolina home as they came to arrest him, after he set off a gun fight that left four officers dead and four more wounded.

The suspect had a lengthy criminal history and was wanted for possession of a firearm by felon, and felony flee to elude out of Lincoln County, before he was shot dead on Monday, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

We really get that you are incapable of thinking, learning, or applying facts of one incident to similar possible incidents.

You throw wild accusations at people, emote like a teenage girl, and then pretend to be wise. It’s a most ridiculous display of idiocy. Shame on you.

No, not correct. You’re 100% false and you know what you did. I’m calling out your utter BS and I’m sorry you’re not liking it. This is a multiple felon and I see you failed to mention he was arrested for cocaine (not just maijuana) high speed pursuits, prior firearm possession from a felon and wanted in four counties. Including all the information does wonders for the cause. Admit it, this has absolutely nothing to do with gun control whatsoever. I’d just like to hear you say you’re glad a violent felon was put down by law enforcement and condolences to the families of the fallen. Is that too difficult?

I asked a question... Perfectly valid.

If you can’t answer it... Just say so. Or is critical thinking not your strong suit?

No, you implied into this situation Nuremberg and “just following orders.” That was not a question. It was a statement that does not apply here.

Ok... so his initial felony was for a B&E and possibly some other stuff...

While I do not agree with the GCA and FOPA’s permanent 2A disability... This guy sounds like someone who should not have been roaming around free to begin with.

Thank you for the info...

See the post just below your last one... This is what I was originally asking for and you decided to be a dick about.

Your other comment, to which I replied about Nuremberg to, was your boot polished scented breath in assuming that law enforcement should automatically get the benefit of the doubt.

This may have been assumed at one point in our Nations history... but is daily ever more not the case.

I wanted more confirmation on the dirtbags history to help settle in my mind that this isn’t just another “gun owner being executed by the State” as we have seen recently... It isn’t... Just another thug that should have been incarcerated or executed before getting to this point.

The B&E was in 2010, the weed charges were in 2021. Not sure how long he should have been in the joint for the B&E, but that doesn't carry a life sentence. At some point, people with criminal records are going to be running loose ... and if they want to be armed, they will be; gun control laws to the contrary won't stop them. And that's the problem with the permanent 2A disability ... This incident began with the cops pursuing a "Felon in possession of a firearm" charge.

“Inducing the moral hazard.” Agreed. Permanent disability gives no hope and keeps a former criminal in a Second Class Citizen status.

Granted... a lot of them don’t deserve it as they are determined to BE criminals. But then there are the Wesely Snipes/Martha Stewart type “felons” who could just as easily fall prey to something like this as well.

Either way, what we have today is NOT working.

I'm condemning your utter stupidity.

I'm trying to show you a little respect for your prior military service, but you're making it difficult.

Admit it, this has absolutely nothing to do with gun control whatsoever.

ROFL!!! You simply can't think. I'll drag you through it step by step jarhead. I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you. That, you will have to do for yourself ... if you're able.

1) Leftists in the democrat party have repeatedly suggested, and attempted, confiscation of guns owned by peaceable citizens. This is a simple fact, deal with it.

2) It is highly likely that leftists in the democrat party may escalate their attempts at disarming We the People by sending Agents of the State door to door, to steal guns from us.

3) It is possible ... even probable ... that some (many) otherwise peaceable citizens will resist the theft of their weapons with force.

4) This incident shows that an armed individual, determined not to be taken alive, can exact a heavy price in death and injury from those who wish to take him. Moral standing of anyone involved is irrelevant to this point.

5) People generally should therefore consider that attempts by democrat leftists to steal weapons from armed peaceable citizens will similarly result in a high loss of life on the part of both Citizens and agents of the State.

Now, quit being an idiot.

So much for the lefty fantasy about sending cops house to house to confiscate guns.

Yup. Not everyone with a firearm is a law-abiding white person. They should consider that before enforcing unconstitutional laws.

(Yeah, I know. Big Media tells us the deceased enemy of the State is a very bad man. It may even be true, in this case. But when agents of the State come to take YOUR guns, Big Media will tell us that YOU are a very bad man.)

Thanks for injecting some sanity into this thread.Lots and lots of knee-jerk reactions here. I'm sure I'll get the same treatment when they decide to come for mine.

It is entirely possible that forcing this guy to assume room temperature was a net plus for America, but the fact remains that the government agents involved were enforcing a blatantly unconstitutional law.

The only thing I’ve been able to find so far is that he was a felon in possession of a firearm for a previous felony... of owning a firearm.

Kinda recursive eh? I'd like to know as well if you find out, and remember to ping me. This subject has brought a mass of knee-jerk responses

I'd agree with that assessment in general. however since he was 'roaming around free', he has 2nd amendment rights. If the state doesn't want him to have those rights, he should still be in prison.

NorthMountain found this...

It scans with what I’ve seen coming out on other forums as well. Looks like this guy was definitely on the “thug life” trajectory.
