Russia doesn't have the resources, nor the economy to support a long term war.

What in hell are you babbling about? Russia has more natural resources than any country in the world and has access to the manufacturing base in both China and India, who are gladly assisting the Russians in exchange for cheap Russian oil.

Everything you and your fellow Zeepers have said about this war for two years has been a lie. And, you keep lying, even to yourselves.

And, when it comes to Americans. don't forget that going to war is not open to a voter decision.

Those in Congress know very well that supporting US troops on the ground would their careers. I doubt there would be even 10 votes for that in the House.

Trump has already said he'll end the war within 24 hours if he's elected.

Once in power, the president can and will decide for the people

No politician is going to send troops into a war that has no direct national interest when 90% of the public opposes doing so. Not even Biden.

And, without US involvement, Ukraine has no chance of doing anything but losing more territory and lives.

Give them the choice and you are going to look very stupid when they reject Russia.

Ukrainians in what's left of the country WANT peace. They won't embrace Russia but certainly will agree to remain neutral toward Russia if that is what it takes to end the death of their loved ones and save what is left of their country.

Russia will not surrender, but they can give up fighting the war. Russia cannot afford to support the war effort and they are losing men and weapons like there's no tomorrow. But, like I said, they can't continue to support war with their tiny economy.

Once Russia gives up the fight, Ukraine will join NATO, not wanting to take any more chances that Russia will be at it again.

That's not the way it works. And especially not with Biden after his disastrous pullout from Afghanistan. Like I said, going to war or assisting others with their war, is not up for a vote of the people. And, when it comes to anything in Europe and in the middle-east and even in Asia and S. America, everything is of national interest to the U.S. Like it or not, we are stuck with being the world's policeman, since the UN is useless and no other country is capable of keeping world peace like the U.S. is.



Ukraine has been at it for more than 2 years, and there is no appearance that they will surrender and let Russia get away with their invasion. Russia may have some Uke territory right now, but, as you may have noticed, the war is no over yet.

Plus, Ukraine has funding support and weapons support from the U.S. and various other NATO countries, and in fact, there are U.S. and NATO personnel helping the Ukrainian effort, though nobody wants to officially acknowledge that help.

The fat lady has not sung yet, and it's not over till it's over. Take notice that the war continues and Ukraine is not about to give up; not anytime soon and perhaps never.

BTW, if you're not a Russian plant or troll, you sure arr helping them a lot, and I'm sure Putin appreciates what you're doing.

Trump would end the Uke war soon after taking office, but not by ending support to Ukraine. Besides, Trump would not dare to take support away and allow Russia to win, otherwise, republicans would be blamed for losing Ukraine and losing trust with those who were our friends overseas. There is actually a lot more to lose than 'just Ukraine'.

When it comes to the votes to support Ukraine, there are actually a lot more congresspeople who support in congress than oppose, on the democratic side and in the republican side. Many fear stating their true beliefs because of the politics of it all. Johnson is reflecting the 'unofficial' position of republicans by voting for the support to Ukraine; iow, he's taking the heat for the republicans who want to remain silent until after the election.

The NATO Secretary General was in Kyiv today (29 April), addressing their Legislature.

“Ukraine’s rightful place is in NATO. Ukraine will become a member of NATO. The work we are undertaking now puts you on an irreversible path towards NATO membership, so that when the time is right, Ukraine can become a NATO member straightaway,” Stoltenberg said.

Putin did that.

This ten year support agreement with the USA is only one of many bilateral support agreements that Ukraine is signing, as a result of Putin’s illegal invasion, and its criminal brutality, that has shocked the conscience of the world.

The Kyiv Independent reported (20 April):

“The agreements are based on a pledge made by the Group of Seven (G7) last July (2023), which aims to bolster Ukraine’s ability to resist Russian aggression. So far, nine have been signed with Latvia, Finland, the U.K., Germany, France, Denmark, Canada, Italy, and the Netherlands.

Zelensky said Ukraine is moving towards “an important agreement with the U.S.,” adding that the agreement could happen after Congress passes a $61 aid bill for Ukraine that awaits an upcoming vote on April 20.

“I want people to understand that these (bilateral agreements) is not only about military assistance,” Zelensky said.

“This is also about humanitarian aid, reconstruction, the financial and energy sectors’ support.”

Zelensky stressed that Ukraine will sign more bilateral security agreements “soon.” According to the president, Kyiv could sign an agreement with “one of the Baltic states” in April.

“We might have powerful agreements in May. I think in May and June, we will approach the agreements not only with the U.S. but also with Nordic countries,” Zelensky said, referring to Sweden and Norway.

The Presidential Office announced on April 18 that Ukraine and Czechia had begun negotiations on a draft bilateral security agreement.

Earlier, Kyiv said that the Portuguese and Ukrainian governments had “assigned teams” to begin the preparation of such an agreement as well.”

At the G-7 Summit last year in Vilnius, the US and many other countries agreed to establish these bilateral support agreements. Nine have already been signed (Latvia, Finland, the U.K., Germany, France, Denmark, Canada, Italy, and the Netherlands).

Ten years (or until full EU and NATO integration) is the norm.
