The Miami Grand Prix sent a cease and desist letter to a prominent fundraiser of former President Donald Trump after he planned to use a suite for a fundraiser event.
The Formula One race sent the letter to Steven Witkoff, a close Trump ally, who had rented a suite at the race for fundraising purposes, multiple people familiar with the matter told the Washington Post.

The headline is a bit misleading. The cease and desist was not sent to Trump but to his friend Steve Witkoff, who was planning on holding a fundraiser at the event on Trump’s behalf.
Gee which is it, a lie or fraud? I know of a certain US Government agency which is dragging Trump through various courts in the USA for a lesser situation?

to intervene here, and allow a Trump fund-raiser to hold an event in a suite at the Miami Grand Prix.
Weinstein hospitalized for tests following his conviction being overturned
“The court ordered a new trial to be held on the charges. Weinstein’s 2022 rape conviction in Los Angeles, which landed a 16-year prison sentence, was unaffected by the ruling.”
(if you read that article you want to puke.)
Would all depend upon the “rental agreement” language, I would think.
Not sure race organizers have the authority to ban Trump’s party.
I thought Miami was supposed to be underwater by now.

Better yet do both, both Trump and DeSantis could (and should) blast publicly the Miami Grand Prix and hit them right in the pocketbook, most fans will be furious and might cause a firing of one or two of officials. Up here in the Detroit area we have had the Gran Prix tour since the 80’s but never this stuff.
Just another anti-Trump lawfare type maneuver and make them pay with a public announcement, that’ll do it!
You’re thinking NASCAR. Most F1 fans aren’t your run of the mill conservatives. They seem to me bougie, Euro lefties who sip on their mimosas before taking in the races.
Is this why Trump desantis met courtesy of witkoff?
What business of it is F1 about who is invited and why/how for the rented suite? And do they really need or want the bad press this gives them? A boycott even.
And that’s why I like 24 Hours of Lemons.
Here’s another article on the subject, just posted by Newsweek.
It looks like Trump’s still planning to attend, based on the Newsweek article. I would imagine the event could still proceed, as long as the fundraising aspect of it isn’t being advertised. What’s to stop Witkoff from inviting a few “friends” to his suite? And who’s to stop those friends from donating to Trump if they want to? I suspect the fundraising event will still go as planned - just unofficially.
“Shut up and sing.”
Good idea........Trump weighing in would do the trick.
F1 is just an even more overpriced version of NOOSECAR.
