What is constitutional loyalty, when there are disputes over constitutional interpretation?
That is why there is a Supreme Court.
And there are differences of opinion on various matters among even the current conservative majority on the court.

This “constitutional loyalty” does not seem like a very firm basis. You can easily end up with two sides claiming “constitutional loyalty”, with each calling the other traitor.

loyalist=faithful towards.

constitutional loyalist=faithful towards the constitution.

faithful towards the constitution=traditional/narrow interpretation of the constitution.
