This kind of thing - gang rapes, grooming, forced prostitution and pedophilia rings and similar - has been going on for two decades. Everyone in the UK knows it. The political establishment in the UK has almost always looked the other way. I can’t explain why they ignored it. Maybe partly because some muckity-mucks were involved in it, and partly because of “donations”, and partly because of some kind of cognitive dissonance where they sort of expect other cultures to behave differently and it would be racist/politically incorrect to crack down on it. I have a good friend who lives in a city in the middle of the UK - he told me about it 15-20 years ago. Some of his community demanded the police take action but the bobbies never did. He suspected the chief of police was involved along with some local pols, but I dunno.
I am glad if they crack down on all of them. This cannot be tolerated I don’t care what race or culture the perpetrators come from.
