An Arizona grand jury has indicted former Donald Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows and lawyer Rudy Giuliani along with 16 others in an election interference case.
The indictment released Wednesday names 11 Republicans who submitted a document to Congress falsely declaring that Donald Trump beat Joe Biden in Arizona in the 2020 presidential election. It shows seven other defendants whose names were not immediately released because they had not yet been served with the charges.
The Associated Press was able to determine the identities of the unnamed defendants based on their descriptions in the indictment.
One is described as an attorney “who was often identified as the Mayor” and spread false allegations of election fraud, a description that clearly describes Giuliani. Another is described as Trump’s “ chief of staff in 2020,” which describes Meadows.
“I will not allow American democracy to be undermined,” Democratic Attorney General Kris Mayes said in a video released by her office. “It’s too important.”
The 11 people who had been nominated to be Arizona’s Republican electors met in Phoenix on Dec. 14, 2020, to sign a certificate saying they were “duly elected and qualified” electors and claiming that Trump carried the state. A one-minute video of the signing ceremony was posted on social media by the Arizona Republican Party at the time. The document was later sent to Congress and the National Archives, where it was ignored.
Biden won Arizona by more than 10,000 votes. Of the eight lawsuits that unsuccessfully challenged Biden’s victory in the state, one was filed by the 11 Republicans who would later sign the certificate declaring Trump as the winner.

Exactly. Too many questions people have they flat out refire to allow to be answered. If it was done correctly and had no fraud, they should welcome anyone to verify and inspect.
Yet another failure from the Republicans in Arizona.
Mayes should have been recalled a long time ago. In Arizona, ANY elected official can be recalled. They get 6 months and then the process can begin.
Mayes isn’t even on solid ground as the AG. She “won” by 280 votes out of millions in a contest vote that I believe is still in the appeals phase by Abe Hamadeh. Statistically it’s a draw and the election should be re-run.
But we all know she benefitted from the 2022 disruption in Maricopa county. Now she’s pulling a Hail Mary stunt along with the other degenerate dyke in Michigan, Dana Nessel.
The petitions should be started now. And the courts that refused to give the voters of Maricopa county their civil rights should be recalled too.
Seen it happen in AZ before. It just takes some volunteers on the streets.
As I said before, when Trump is Re-Elected he needs to go Full Scorched Earth and jail or exile every last one of these quislings nationwide.
Why does this sound like the English indicting the Founding Fathers for “crimes against the crown”?
Is it a defense to the charges if they produce evidence that would support a fraudulent election that, if counted properly, would have elected Trump?
Or is it a metaphysical certitude that the election was dead nuts on the mark?

If they had done this, or even gotten a new case open, or even said “pending legal proceedings” then they would not have been able to be charged. But the legal cases were already lost. So it really was a fraudulent claim that they were the duly appointed electors.
The Pennsylvania GOP electors have avoided legal trouble, simply by saying e votes they were casting should only be counted if a court found that they were the “duly elected and qualified Electors.”
Start suing them all..
They accuse others of what they themselves do.
