NYU propaganda: "Essentialism is a widespread, but scientifically inaccurate, view rooted in the idea that there is a genetic “essence” that makes women and men the way they are."
I have no idea what they teaching in University these days. I took biology as a freshman in high school and HATED it. Mostly because of the way it was taught, as rote learning, devoid of context or insight, or enthusiasm. It did not help that my high school bio teacher was a jerk.
I used to read SciAm from cover to cover, at the library, when I was 15 - 25. I can’t even open it up without feeling ill these days. And my intellectual enthusiasm is barely slacked since I was 15. It’s me, it’s them. I hate them, they are ruining the world.
