The parents at the centre of the Huw Edwards scandal said that they are "still suffering" and "still seeking answers" before he quit the BBC. The news anchor left his role on Monday on medical grounds after 40 years.
Huw, 62, was suspended from the BBC last July after allegations were made that he sent a young individual thousands of pounds and received explicit images. He has since not appeared on screen since the claims.
Speaking exclusively to the publication, the young person's parents voiced their concern that they "won't get answers" now that Huw has departed the BBC.
The mother told The Sun: "In resigning we are worried we won’t get the answers we so desperately need. If Huw has been found to have done something wrong no action can be taken against him. My heart is broken.
"This has been a traumatic time that we feel hasn’t been resolved. We just want closure and this doesn’t take us any closer to it. We still have so many questions and we need the BBC to answer them. This is not the end for us."

Huw here is quitting on medical advice - no doubt mental health related so that is close to what you’re talking about actually happening
I hope he gets better but can’t help feeling although he forgoes any pay-off he will protect his pension.
If investigated and fired for misconduct that would have implications im sure.

I read that the Metropolitan Police (aka: “Scotland Yard”) investigated the matter and found there was no criminality involved. So that would mean no criminal charges.

Yes,it’s easy to see why the parents are upset. But if he did not,in fact,commit a crime then there’s not much that anyone can do. I doubt that they could even bring a civil suit against him.
