Oh yea I’m not arguing against you, just saying the numbers you picked are Avery small subset of both men or women. Drop them a bunch (say 35 lb @ 3/6 mi) and you have something most men can do relatively easily, while most women will still struggle quite a bit.
I saw a facebook video with a colonel as to why he didn’t support women out in the field.
His words were, “When you load a backpack that weighs 120lbs on her back and take her for a field march, they fold like a f*****g crouton.”
It was just the way he said that caused me to laugh.
I fully support women doing what they want with their lives, but we have to operate in the realm of what works.
If she wants to go in the military, it should be in positions where she can be an asset. Having her carry a 20lb backpack, while dividing the rest of her load amongst the rest of the troops is not an asset imo.
Bea Arthur, probably the toughest woman in America and you can hear that in her voice, drove supply when she served in WWII. SHe was an asset.
