If the West is defeated in the next war, the Russians may take back Alaska, which had been a Russian possession until 1867, when we bought it for $15 million. I doubt the Russians will be overly concerned with “indigenous knowledge.” The Chinese will take Hawaii as a naval base. The CCP could take California for the agricultural bounty of that state, cleaning out the riff raff from Southern California and the Bay Area.
