Her mother appears to only be a proper muslim woman when it is to her advantage-she wears her turban/headress for the cameras, but that is just about all-she appears to be americanized when she is off camera. She was having an affair with the WASP guy she is married to now when he was married and she was married to Ali Hirsi, her kids’ father-with all the scandal, they both ended up divorced and married each other. That is not what a normal muslim woman does-so there is no reason the kid should be any different. I wonder how long she would last in Somalia?
I won't disagree with you. Ilhan is probably unclean in most every part of her life, but she knows when to don the garb and talk the talk in front of the press.
Her daughter doesn't, apparently. How does a true Muslim treat a rebellious child? Guess we'll find out. Or maybe not.
