From your article:

“Instead, American troops gradually found and ultimately suffered from the remnants of long-abandoned programs, built in close collaboration with the West.”

Yeah the US were the ones who assisted Iraq in their acquisition of chemical weapons and/or their components when they were fighting Iran in the Iran/Iraq war. Then came back a few years later and tried to justify our attack on them by pretending Saddam himself was pursuing chemical weapons on his own. That was all US propaganda.

Actually, it was Kamal Hussein, Saddam's son in law, married to his daughter Raghed, where a lot of it began.

He defected to Jordan and told them that Saddam was making new chem and bio weapons and was working on nukes, which the Jordanians relayed to us.

Kamal, then, returned to Iraq, after Saddam promised that no harm would come to him and was promptly shot.

Before the invasion convoys of trucks were tracked from Iraq to the Bekkah Valley in Lebanon, suspected of carrying these new weapons.

During Saddam's interregation, after he was captured, he freely admitted that he did make it known that he restarted his chem, bio and nuke weapons programs, in violation of the agreement that ended the first Gulf War, but that it was all a bluff, to keep the Iranians guessing.

The.Italians seized a North Korean ship, sailing to Libya and found nuke weapons related stuff.

When confronted, Qadaffi admitted that he had Saddam's nuke weapons program stuff and promptly gave it up, not wanting to end up like Saddam.

Qadaffi was working with us, fighting al queda, when hussein, biden and clinton betrayed him.

This all came from a good friend that was in intelligence, in the Army, at the time.

In the end, Saddam did have thousands of viable chem weapons that he promised to have destroyed.

I do not believe anything my government tells me, especially, now.

I do not believe anything a muslim says and I, especially, don't believe anything from the msm.

I am not saying that we should have gone to war with Iraq and invaded.

We can agree that the running of the war and it's aftermath were a disaster, for our own wounded and killed and for Christians, Yazidis and Iraqis.
