The Democrat-run Senate unsurprisingly followed suit just after midnight Saturday, passing the spying bill, which will extend Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) for two additional years, just minutes after it was scheduled to expire. The legislation now goes to Joe Biden’s desk, who will sign it into law.

The vote was 60-34. Via Senate.gov, here are the senators who voted to betray the Constitution.

The 30 “Republicans” who voted for H.R. 7888 were: Barrasso, Boozman, Britt, Budd, Cassidy, Collins, Cornyn, Cotton, Crapo, Ernst, Fischer, Graham, Grassley, Hyde-Smith, Kennedy, Lankford, McConnell, Moran, Mullin, Murkowski, Ricketts, Risch, Romney, Rounds, Rubio, Sullivan, Thune, Tillis, Wicker, and Young.

In the end, the bill received the 60th vote it needed to pass just before midnight. But in a twist, after all the urgency, the Senate kept the vote open for more than 40 additional minutes to accommodate Senator Marsha Blackburn, Republican of Tennessee, who finally showed up in the nearly empty chamber and added a “no” vote.

The votes against it came from 17 Democrats, 16 Republicans and 1 independent. Note Tester and Sherrod Brown, up for reelection, voted against it.

The U.S. House on Friday voted to renew the FISA government surveillance program on a 273-147 bipartisan vote.

More D's than R's. Look at some of the names of the D's/Nay votes. Patty Murray, Bernie Sanders, Maisey Hirono...Interestingly, both WVA senators were afraid to cast recorded votes. Roll Call Vote Details
