He may have been a rude little guy and bordering on criminal, but what was done to him was beyond reproach. If he had been left alone, he would have either grown up or gone to prison without anything.

In the end he was never rude the anyone ever again and the pack animals he came from took notice and were less likely to commit any crimes to get themselves noticed.
they had a politer society after emmitt was found.
