I took a pay cut pumping gas to join at $288 a month. Can’t complain, wife and I retired at E14 (8+6). She got out at 13 during post Desert Storm drawdown and drew over 250k over 26 years. I’ve been retired for 32 years.
288 a month! damn as a boot I was getting rich at 81 dollars a month, 2 years later I was “FABULOUSLY WEALTHY” at L/Cpl pay of 138.00 dollars a month.
