I just told Mike Johnson in conference that I’m cosponsoring the Motion to Vacate that was introduced by @RepMTG.

He should pre-announce his resignation (as Boehner did), so we can pick a new Speaker without ever being without a GOP Speaker.

I agree.

I am NOT happy with some of what Mike Johnson is doing and I have LET HIM KNOW by phone calls!!!

BUT that being said, we are on a THIN EDGE right now and if we lose the HOUSE it's a SPIRAL down to a LOT worse than we are right now......we are in critical times!!!!

“He should pre-announce his resignation (as Boehner did), so we can pick a new Speaker without ever being without a GOP Speaker.”

It’s an election year and these clowns are going to keep pulling this crap right up until election day, apparently. Successfully making an “official” joke of the GOP. Nancy Pelosi was correct when she stated that they had more ‘arrows in their quiver’. This RINO BS is one of those arrows.

Thank Mike Johnson then, for not protecting Santos, who was a dubious character but he was OUR dubious character, and for not playing hardball with McCarthy and... whatshisname, the guy from Wisconsin. Promise them the lead or the lead if they leave before the election.

Nice little Baptist boys don't do that kinda stuff though. That wouldn't be nice.

As an outsider, but a citizen, it is hard for me to understand why these people can’t get together on who they want as a speaker.

Cause probably 80-90% of the Republican caucus are Rino’s, and the rest, more conservative leaning.
Conservatives want to play hardball, rino’s wanna cave to democrats but then cry about the state of things.

It would prevent the next round of impeach-o-rama that could freeze Trump’s presidency again. There is that.

We will lose the house and probably presidency because of this and how it will be spun, GOP is nothing but chaos etc, right wing nut jobs etc etc.. And the Dems will control the House and get much more than what Johnson is supporting. Stupid is as stupid does

Dems know how to win and we just like to critize each other
and yap about RINOs without realizing you need to win elections to get your way , anyone who agrees with this motion should donate $s to the Trump campaign because they are going to need it.

Johnsons only job, and the only one he can realistically do, is to hold the line and try to work to win a bigger majority in the house and prevent Democrats from blocking Trump's election.

All else is unimportant because if those two things don't happen the country is lost and nothing he can do in 20204 will make a whit of difference.

And he is dealing with the worst hand a speaker has been dealt in modern history.

We need to support him, not try to kill him.

Even issues like Ukraine funding are not so clear cut. I am and have been opposed to wasting assets in Ukraine because we were supporting a losing strategy and throwing good after bad while enabling the massive death and destruction in Ukraine.

However, as predicted, Ukraine is facing imminent collapse which would be a Biden manufactured catastrophe. If we can support Ukraine in such a way that it brings the war to a fast conclusion, that would be money well spent.

I think Johnson be trying to use funding leverage to force Biden to stop blocking a peace deal in Ukraine which is really the only thing blocking peace in Ukraine.

Massie is trying to sabotage the Republican Majority.

If he plays his cards right, he can accomplish this without forcing any more of his corrupt crony Republican House members form having to actually resign and lose their power and position.

This creep does have the interests of the country in mind.

By having any Ukraine funding contingent upon using the assets to bolster the Ukraine military in such a way that it gives them the greatest degree of negotiating leverage as opposed to funding grandiose plans for new delusional Ukrainian offensives

Then also make the funding contingent upon near term cease fire and armistice talks while Ukraine still exists as an independent nation because they will soon be over run by Russia regardless of how we fund them if we don't act decisively to broker a peace agreement now.

Thanks for the explanation.

Do you believe that Ukraine will accept those terms and conditions?

They have no choice but the reality is that the Bien Admin blocked a done deal negotiated settlement under very favorable term to Ukraine several weeks after Russia invaded at the last minute before it was signed

The Biden Admin has blocked any negotiations to end the conflict because they are the one driving this proxy war

The only this will end is if Johnson forces Biden to negotiate or with Russia overrunning Ukraine which is going to happen in the near future absent direct NATO intervention with US and NATO combat troops fighting in Ukraine

We’re a hell of a lot better off with a majority I. The house than if Pelosi was still in charge.
