Israel announced the targets of attack ( two bases)at the very start even before all the missile and drone waves were launched

Did Iran use old crappy drones and missiles that got shot down and the newer versions with precise accuracy are the ones that hit remote areas the base?

Remember missiles also hit US base in Iraq in mostly empty areas a few years ago

Did Israel let those missiles thru so Iran could claim “victory”?
Did Iran let “99 percent” of projectiles get shot down so Israel could claim victory?

Will Israel “strike back” and hit a few Iranian targets which will be emptied out before hand?

Then that will be the end??

There is no point in believing anything from the media.

Here are the things to not believe:

1) The number of attacking objects.

2) The labeling of those objects (ballistic missile, cruise missile, drone, UAV, balloon). There are no pure definitions, even if journalism majors could understand them.

3) Casualty counts

4) The number of intercepts.

5) Damage caused.

In other words, believe nothing. We will be told nothing that does not align with a narrative created by whoever in as self-serving a manner as possible.

Early on during the attack Israel said that large chunks of shrapnel from an intercepted Iranian missile fell onto one of their air force bases and did damage, but didn't interrupt their capabilities. It's similar to the shrapnel that hit the little girl (falling from the sky after a missile was blown).

I don't know if that's the kind of "hit" they're reporting now or if they're saying the missiles were operational and exploded successfully when they hit pay dirt.

Iran attacked in Soviet style.

They launched everything they have, old and new, on the belief that something will get through if they overwhelm air defenses with sheet quantity.

I’ve briefly been to that airbase. You could drop huge bombs on it and nothing significant would happen. It’s built to take nukes.

“Did Israel let those missiles thru so Iran could claim victory?”

Seems I have read in the past that Israel’s tracking system on there Iron Dome / Arrow / David’s Sling systems (maybe not all three?) Can determine trajectory of the incoming Missiles and determine if it will hit anything pertinent. Their systems may not launch if it’s determined the enemy’s missile will hit a pile of rocks. At least I believe I recall reading this. One would think the airbases are sprawling and away from population centers. So some of those missiles could have been allowed to hit the ground??
