Americans seem to have been grossly misinformed on this and I wonder how much of that is deliberate.
Yes, we have some strict gun control laws - but they are not that strict. Law abiding citizens have little difficulty owning firearms if they want to, and there are, in fact, more guns legally held by private citizens in private hands than at any time in Australian history.
But heaven forbid (and may God protect you) if you use your government-approved firearm to protect yourself or others...
Good to hear that. I had read that long guns were all that was left in citizens’ hands.
