Me too. I don’t think there will be any mass deportations either.
It’s such a political firestorm, no one wants to be the one to pull the trigger on that...even Trump, I suspect.
It would be an economic firestorm in my area if they deported illegals; the schools are only kept open because of their anchor babies, and much of the housing stock would be empty (rental units). In the NYC metro area, they are trafficked here to keep clients for the government administration; the Walmarts and courts would be empty as well.
They are “placeholders” for the areas abandoned by Americans, inheriting an infrastructure and government bureaucracy they can’t fund.
