“Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.” Jeremiah 49:35. Elam is the western part of Persia west of the Zagreb mountains and bordering the Persian Gulf. The Elamites were good bowmen. When prophecy speaks of a people group like Elam you look at the geography of their ancient land. Then you look at who occupies that land in the time of fulfillment. The “bow” could be the launch sites for their missiles. If so, then look for Israel to hit launch sites in response.
