This dovetails with a report from the Financial Times. An inside source claimed that the US, Iran, and Israel had talks to discuss a way that Iran could save face by attacking Israel in a way that wouldn't escalate to Armageddon.

The idea was that Iran would be allowed to destroy an Israeli military installation that would be evacuated ahead of time.

If that report is right, then at least one of the missiles will be allowed through in order to destroy something without killing civilians or even IDF.

Israel will consider their Iron Dome a great success and shake their fists at Iran for destroying a military base, Iran will show that they can hit Israel, and the US will breathe a sigh of relief that they didn't start WWIII.

Israeli government to Al-Arabiya: We neither confirm nor deny that Iran informed us of the nature and timing of its response.

Very interesting. While that, if true, could indicate this will most likely fizzle out rather than be the first shots fired in a major new war, the thought of these governments putting on a stage show involving war-like actions is quite disturbing in itself.
