To: Tell It Right
If it's no longer his issue, why does he bash states that restrict abortion? First of all, if it's up to the states, why does he need to comment about it at all? Second, why are only states that restrict abortion, "too extreme?" So far, he hasn't criticized any state for being too lax.

So, it's a state's rights issue if a state chooses to have unrestricted abortion. But if a state chooses to restrict it too much, everyone else needs to get involved?

Because he’s a politician, looking to gain votes, not lose them. “Any which way you can,” Right or wrong he’s not losing g votes with this. Expediency is the catapult.
