.....recalling how much I paid attention in High School, I would altar your idea a little, to wit: 1. Watch Dr. Z and then take a 100 question test the last week of the 8th grade. If you pass, you may go on to the 9th grade. If you don’t, repeat the 8th grade.
# 2, Rinse and repeat every year until the 12th grade. If you make a 90 on the 12th grade test, you may obtain your diploma and show up at graduation. If you fail the test in all 5 grades, report to a road gang picking up trash along side the road for ONE YEAR! At night, compulsory night classes studying for the test. After 1 year on the road gang is up, you can take the test again.
