Unfortunately, many Scots have always had a moral superiority complex against the English, and this seems to be manifesting itself as a way of trying to position themselves as more ‘tolerant’ and ‘progressive’ than the nasty Tory/Brexit voting English and their xenophobic racism (despite the fact England is a lot more multi-racial than Scotland and immigrants tend to prefer settling in England than Scotland despite the waves of immigration to the UK over the past few decades.
What’s going in Scotland is one of many bizarre manifestations of what post-Christian Europe, and especially post-Protestant Europe is turning into.
