Making bread is the way to dodge this.

Newsome made a last minute exception to this law — if you bake bread you are exempt. He did this for the CEO of Panera Bread — a big campaign donor for Newsome.

Now, every smart business just needs to bake a few loaves and they are exempt. A YouTube channel on “unintended consequences” did a spiel on something similar . Some anti-booze Aholes passed a law saying you could not operate a bar unless you also served food — like the bar in a hotel. So, sneaky bar owners made up sandwiches that you paid for — to get “free” booze. The same sammich was used on every drink served, every customer. Until it was so rotten and slimey it had to be replaced.

The CaCaLaw is just more virtue signaling for the NPC’s combined with more donation shilling.

I believe the bread exemption only applies to those businesses that already baked bread as of a date that has now passed, so that door has closed.
