The law in question would require stores to give a whopping six-month notice before closing,Obviously these Socialist-Commie-Fascist clowns have NO idea how a business runs.
All it would take is the managers to "forget" to order supplies, or "forget" to pay the suppliers to deliver.
Three to five weeks, tops.

The Stores that got out early were wise.
The ones that have not closed will make a mad dash to the exits now.

Supervisor Dean Preston calls it a “good idea” because of the risk of “food insecurity”
"food insecurity" = food desert

Don't think this law would work.
A creative manager could stock unmilled wheat and rye grain only, keeping the store open.
It is food, and no one would steal it.

Once your shelves are stripped clean by the termites, what is the point of even showing up to operate the business end of the operation?
A mission statement for any organization presumes there is a mission. When the business model becomes inoperable, the enterprise dies.

If all the employees quit, that would solve the problem, too.
At that point, open the doors, let it be stripped clean and then don’t reorder anything else.
